Beautiful handmade ceramic Adar Sacred Fire pendant made of fine porcelain clay.
I formed this pendant, dried it for several days then carved it with the sacred Zoroastrianism symbol, fired for many hours, then glazed and fired once again. A final mother of pearl glazed was applied and the pendant was fired a third and final time.
The pendant measures roughly 1-3/2" long by 1-1/4" wide by 3/16" thick (39mm x 34mm x 3mm) and is threaded on an adjustable 2mm black SATIN cord, topped with a rose gold plated metal bead.
**Only one model has been made, unique creation, what you see in the photo is what you will receive. Colour will vary in intensity from PC monitor to smartphone screen.**
The Adar is the sacred fire of the Zoroastrians. The fire symbolizes purity, the essence of life, and the presence of God. In a Zoroastrian creation story, fire is the last creation but brings life to all that came before it. A sacred fire is kept burning continuously in Zoroastrian temple, and Zoroastrians must pray only in the presence of a fire.
