Beautiful porcelain cabochon of an African tribal warrior face! Porcelain clay is one of the highest firing clays at over 2300F giving the appearance of dense crystallised slightly rough stone when fired.
I hand sculpted and carved the warrior face from porcelain clay, air dried it for a few days then fired it at over 2300F for over 10 hours. I then painted her with several non-toxic glazes and fired once again for several hours.
The cabochon measures 43mm x 28mm by 4mm thick and the back is unglazed.
