Beautiful Mayan Glyph ceramic Pendant made from high fire clay and Raku glaze fired to produce copper metallic flashing.
This amulet has been hand formed by me, air-dried for several days, carved with the Tzolk'in Mayan Glyph for MANIK' then fired for several hours, glazed and once again.
Threaded onto a strong adjustable 2mm black braided cord. The pendant measures 1-1/2" long by 1-1/8" wide by 3/16" thick ( 38mm x 31mm x 5mm) and is topped with a stainless steel bead.

MANIK' (pronounced man-EEK)
Deer represented all things sacred, and the Maya valued white-tailed deer most of all. It is possible that small herds of deer were owned as status symbols by the Maya elite.
