Sacred Eye of Kukulkan Mayan Ceramic and glass pendant made from high fire clay and blood red glass.
I created this pendant from clay, dried and fired it, then glazed the base to give an ancient metallic look and feel, then fired it once again. A third firing was done to fuse a deep blood red glass to the ceramic base to give the appearance of a sacred jewel. The glass is the same colour all over, however, I couldn't get the camera to take a photo properly.
Threaded onto an adjustable 2mm black Hemp cord. The pendant measures 2-1/8" long 1-5/8" wide by 1/8" to 1/4" thick ( 57mm x 42mm x 4-7mm).
**Only one model has been made, unique creation, what you see in the photo is what you will receive. Colour will vary from PC monitor to smartphone screen.**
Kukulkan was the Feathered Serpent And Mighty Mayan Snake God. The Aztecs called him Quetzalcoatl and the ancient Maya referred to him as Kukulkan. The K’iche’ group of Maya named him Gukumatz.
