Gorgeous fine porcelain 3D pendant with fused glass. Porcelain clay is one of the highest firing clays at over 2300F giving the appearance of dense crystallised slightly rough stone when fired. This small pendant is reminiscent of seeing barnacle sea creatures by the ocean filled with water.
I created this cute pendant from fine porcelain clay, hand built, dried for several days then fired it for over 10 hours in the kiln. Once fired, I glazed the pendant and added turquoise and green sea glass, then back to be fired for several hours again. The backside is unglazed to show the beautiful crystallized appearance of the untouched raw porcelain.
This pendant measures 1-3/4 inches in diameter by 1/2 inch at its thickest (42mm x 11mm). Strung onto a 2mm thick black Hemp adjustable cord and topped with a copper plated metal bead.
