Gorgeous fine porcelain pendant with fused glass. Porcelain clay is one of the highest firing clays at over 2300F giving the appearance of dense crystallised slightly rough stone when fired. This pendant is reminiscent of tidal pools of water by the sea!
I created this pendant from fine porcelain clay, hand built, dried for several days then fired it for over 10 hours in the kiln. Once fired, I glazed the pendant and added turquoise sea glass and cobalt blue glass shards, then back to be fired for several hours again. The backside is unglazed to show the beautiful crystallized appearance of the untouched raw porcelain.
This pendant measures 2-1/2 inches long by 1-1/4 inches at its widest by 1/4 inch thick (65mm x 34mm x 7mm); and is strung onto a black 2mm thick Hemp cord. The pendant is topped by a rainbow Hematite stone ring.
