Beautiful mini dish made of porcelain. Porcelain clay is one of the highest firing clays at over 2300F giving the appearance of dense crystallised slightly rough stone when fired. This beautiful little bowl reminds me of a pool of water by the sea or a deep mysterious Cenote in the mysterious jungles of the Yucatan peninsula on the Gulf of Mexico!
I created this small dish from fine porcelain clay, hand built and carved then fired it for over 10 hours in the kiln. Once fired, I glazed the bowl with sea glass, recycled glass and non-toxic glazes, then back to be fired for several hours again. The outside is unglazed to show the beautiful crystallized appearance of the untouched raw porcelain.
The bowl measures almost 3 inches in diameter by 1 inch at its highest point ( 7.5 cm x 2.5cm). Use it as a cute unique ring dish, candy dish or whatever you may desire!
