Set of 3 beautiful stone like ceramic Egyptian Cartouche pendants handmade from high fire white stoneware clay. Each pendant has been individually hand rolled by me, air dried for 3 full days, carved with ancient Egyptian Cartouches, then fired for 8 hours at 1600F. After the firing, I glazed each pendant on BOTH sides with non toxic glazes then back in the kiln for a 1900F firing for several hours again. The pendants average about 1-5/8 inches long by 3/4 inch wide by 1/4 inch thick (42mm x 18mm x 7mm ),Perfect for your beading projects, jewelry designs or where ever you may want to put them, have fun!**Due to the hand rolling process, there are slight variations in thickness and size. I do not use any molds and I etch the designs by hand into each pendant. Each set is unique, one of a kind. What you see in the photos are what you will receive. Color intensity may vary from PC monitor to smartphone screen.**Ancient Egyptian Cartouches:'Cartouche' is actually a French word meaning 'gun cartridge'. When Napoleon's soldiers were in Egypt, they nicknamed this shape 'cartouche' because it reminded them of the shape of their gun cartridges, or bullets. At the time, people could not read hieroglyphic writing, so they did not know that the cartouche surrounded the name of the pharaoh. 'Cartouche' became so commonly used that it has remained the standard name for the shape around the name of an Egyptian pharaoh or queen.
