Beautiful handmade ceramic rune stone pendant made from high fire clay.
I created this pendant and carved it with the Futhark Runic alphabet for the Norse God of Thunder: "Thor", fired it in the kiln, glazed it and fired it once again.
Threaded onto a strong adjustable 2mm black braided cord. The pendant measures 1-7/8' x 1-5/8'' by 3/16'' thick (48mm x 35mm x 5mm) and is topped with a copper-plated pewter bead and bronze plated ring.
**Each creation is unique and one of a kind. You will receive what is EXACTLY pictured in the photos above. Colour intensity may vary from PC monitor to smartphone screen.**
Thor (Old Norse Þórr, Old English Ðunor, Old High German Donar, Proto-Germanic *Þunraz, “Thunder” is one of the most prominent figures in Norse mythology. He was a major god of all branches of the Germanic peoples before their conversion to Christianity, although he reached the height of his popularity among the Scandinavians of the late Viking Age.
The brawny thunder god, is the archetype of a loyal and honourable warrior, the ideal toward which the average human warrior aspired. He’s the indefatigable defender of the Aesir gods and their fortress, Asgard, from the encroachments of the giants, who are usually (although far from invariably) the enemies of the gods.
