Beautiful rendition of an ancient Tiki statue found in the South Pacific islands of Marquesas created in high fire clay.
I formed this clay pendant, carved then fired it for several hours in the kiln. I then glazed the pendant and back again in the kiln for another firing.
Threaded onto a strong 2mm black Hemp cord. The pendant measures 1-5/8" long by 1" wide by 1/8" thick ( 42mm x 23mm x 4mm) and is topped with a copper plated metal bead.
**Only one model has been made, unique creation, what you see in the photo is what you will receive. Colour will vary in intensity from PC monitor to smartphone screen.**
A tiki is a large or small wooden or stone carving in humanoid form, Carvings similar to tikis and coming to represent deified ancestors are found in most Polynesian cultures. They often serve to mark the boundaries of sacred or significant sites.
