In ancient Egypt, the scarab (dung beetle) was an important symbol of rebirth, resurrection, good luck, and fortune. It was also the sacred symbol that represented the god Khepri. In Egyptian mythology, Khepri was associated with the rising sun and was often depicted as a scarab beetle pushing the sun across the sky.

One-of-a-kind, unique ceramic tiles. I handmade these tiles from high-fire clay, hand cut and designed. Air-dried and fired, glazed and fired again.

The tiles average approximately 4" x 4" x 1/4" thick (10cm x 10cm x 7mm). The backs are unglazed with a hook on the back for hanging.   **These tiles are hand-cut, handmade and not perfect copies, all vary in millimetres in thickness and size.**
